We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician to join one of the leading suppliers of Waste Water treatment systems such as centrifuges, separators, filter presses and belt presses across the UK. They have a strong track record of providing efficient dewatering and treatment solutions across a number of key industries and offer bespoke maintenance solutions 24/7. Working as a Workshop Technician, you will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance of this specialist water treatment equipment and will support the field team on commissioning and installations when necessary.
The Job
Reporting to the Engineering Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for…

  • The maintenance, service and repair of various specialist sludge dewatering treatment equipment in the workshop. This includes decanter centrifuges, separators and filter presses.
  • Carrying out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance as well as out of hours and breakdown cover in the field when required.
  • Installation or removal this equipment and on-site commissioning.
  • Completing risk assessments, activity reports and other documentation as necessary.

The Candidate
To be considered for this position candidates will be expected to have received formal engineering training as well as having a background in performing maintenance/service work on heavy industrial plant with demonstrable mechanical and electrical experience.
Full training will be provided to get you up to speed on the equipment you will be working with, but experience with some or all of the following: rotating machinery, pumps, decanter centrifuges, separators, belt presses and filter presses would be an advantage.
This role is predominantly workshop based but may require working away from home at various sites across the UK and Ireland so a degree of flexibility will be expected. Should travel be required, a suitable vehicle and accommodation will be provided.
