Our client, a leading technology and solutions provider within the power generation sector, currently require mechanically biased Maintenance Technician / Workshop Technician to join their team. Based at their workshop in the Gosport area, you'll be involved in the planned & reactive maintenance of power generation equipment, engines, microturbines and power electronics.
As a Mechanical Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out testing, troubleshooting, fault finding, servicing, planned and reactive maintenance activities on microturbine engines and power electronics.
- Reading and interpreting operations manuals, engineering drawings, specifications, technical work instructions etc.
- Ensuring adherence to health & safety, along with following safe systems of work.
- Updating maintenance records and communication activities to management.
- Other duties as required.
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have proven experience working in a similar mechanically biased Maintenance Technician / Service Engineer / Workshop Technician role working on power generation equipment, engines, microturbines etc. You will also need to hold a relevant engineering qualification (apprenticeship / HNC / HND / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.). This position is well-suited to someone with an ex-forces background such as the RAF or Royal Navy.
This is a workshop-based role and they're offering a competitive salary of up to £28,000 depending on experience, plus the company benefits package & overtime.
