Job Title - Workshop Mechanic
Location - South London
Salary - £30,000 - £33,000
Our client, one of the UK's leading Waste Management specialist's is looking for a Workshop Mechanic to join their Central London team.
Our client provides a complete range of collection, treatment and disposal services to both commercial and domestic customers on a nationwide basis and as the Workshop Mechanic you will be responsible for working on all types of service vehicles and plant equipment required.
As Workshop Mechanic your responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Required to attend roadside breakdowns, working as part of a team to ensure that the required duties requested by the Supervisor are completed within a timely and efficient manner
- Diagnose vehicle problems (electrical & mechanical) and competent in using diagnostics equipment.
- Ensure service records are maintained and updated onto the internal computerised system and daily worksheets are populated
- Adhere to company guidelines on Health & Safety at work at all times, maintaining all organisation best practice at work procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will be an experienced mechanical fitter, possess your own tools and be competent within Mechanical Pneumatic, Welding and Hydraulics. You will be flexible with your approach to work, have a can-do attitude and have the ability to work alone. An LGV license would be desirable but not essential and good communication skills are a must.
