Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of Energy from Waste / Landfill Gas Solutions & they are currently seeking to employ an Engine Technician / Workshop Engineer to carry out maintenance on large gas driven reciprocating engines based at their Warrington site. Working both alone & as part of a team you will be mainly workshop based carrying out major overhaul of reciprocating gas engines that are used to extract methane gases from Landfill sites around the UK.
You will also be charged with ensuring the workshop is in a clean, safe & operational state at all times as well as carry out any site maintenance that may be required. In addition you will need to be part of a team helping to conduct major overhaul & rebuild of the fleet of engines including Caterpillar, Perkins, Mann & Jenbacher.
The ideal candidate must have served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and have demonstrable experience in working on reciprocating/diesel engines or reciprocating gas/ diesel engines. You will possess a good knowledge of workshop tools (i.e lathes, seat cutters etc) & be competent in rebuild of large engines.
The successful candidate will receive a salary in the range £35,000 up to £40,000 along with benefits including a company pension scheme.
