Job Title: Vehicle and Plant Fitter
Contract Length: Ongoing
My Client is looking for a Vehicle and Plant Fitter / Fleet Mechanic to assist and be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repairs of all vehicles and plant equipment and report to the Transport Manager and Assistant Transport Manager.
Successful Candidates will be expected to undertake MOT Testing, which can be up-skilled on the job and must be able to diagnose, maintain and service vehicles and plant equipment. Candidates may be required to work on an 'Out of Hours' call out rota at times, to attend breakdowns and emergencies, if necessary.
Most importantly, this role requires an individual who can ensure the health, safety and quality standards and met and maintained to the highest standard.
Ideal candidates will have experience with commercial and non-commercial vehicles and have experience within a workshop team, perhaps as a Maintenance Foreman or Workshop Foreman.
We are looking for someone with good IT skills and someone who is able to communicate verbally and in a written format with ease.
Ideal candidates will hold the following qualifications:
- City and Guilds in Motor Vehicles (Level 1-3)
- MOT Nominated Test Qualification
- Supervision Management
- LGV Class 2 Licence
Candidates for this role will be required to up-skill to work with LGVs and HGVs and become a qualified Fleet Mechanic.
