Job Title - Unit Manager

Salary - £60,000 DOE plus package

Location - Kent

Our Client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services across the UK. They pride themselves in transforming what we as a nation tend to discard into a valuable resource, always maintaining the focus on reducing the carbon footprint and limiting the impact on the environment itself. As such they are looking for a Unit Manager to be responsible for their key Plastic Recycling Plant in Kent.

The Role
As Unit Manager you will be responsible for the entire operation and commercial management of this high-profile plastic processing plant. You will maximise the recycling and recovery rates of the plant, driving financial improvement ensuring full compliance within the business operating procedures and external legislation.


As Unit Manager, you will manage the commercial contract ensuring key stakeholder relationships across the business and externally are nurtured and developed. You will drive Health and Safety culture as a priority, practicing professional team management at all times and ensuring all operators and contractors are working at maximum efficiency.


As Unit Manager you will continue to review site performance, providing Opex and Capex analysis and comparison assessments for agreed operational improvement measures when required.

The Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will have previous experience of management within large or multiple processing facilities. You will have a good knowledge of material processing and treatment operations. You will have excellent knowledge of plant and the relevant machinery for processing, and degree qualified within a relevant discipline. You will hold current COTC (4TMNH) and (4COMP) or be willing to achieve. Team management experience is essential.
