Systems Test Engineer
In range from £35,000 to £55,000 plus good benefits package
Our client, a leading designer & manufacturer of bespoke electro mechanical high technology products for use in the global defence industries require a system test engineer to conduct testing on new products & technology.
Your varied duties will include defining test requirements, methods, equipment & procedures. You will then manage & conduct experimental & acceptance testing as part of the NPI team. You will also review customer requirements & generate acceptance/compliance plans, including writing customer reports. Additionally, you will manage technical files throughout a product lifecycle, interpret military standards & apply them to development process as part of the design team & have some involvement in field trials.
You will need to be degree qualified in Engineering or Physics & have at least 5 years test engineering experience combined with experience with requirements capture, compliance & validation. Experience writing test plants, specification & documentation combined with experience devising test methods & equipment for bespoke requirements is also key. Finally you will also need to be comfortable working in the defence sector.
This role is located in a Southampton postcode near the M27, easily commutable from Fareham, Portsmouth, Winchester etc.
