Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-tech electronic products, currently require a Test Development Engineer / Test Engineer to join their team, based at their manufacturing facility in the Southampton area. You'll be responsible for the design, build, implementation and maintenance of test equipment for the production line.
As a Test Development Engineer, you will be tasked with:
- Developing & introducing new test equipment and test processes to the manufacturing / product build lines, which includes automated test equipment (ATE).
- Building & commissioning the new test equipment, as well as documenting procedures and providing training to the operators.
- Maintaining and upgrading the existing test equipment.
- Understanding the test software to support automated test and debugging.
- Other duties as required.
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have proven experience in a similar Test Development Engineer / Test Engineer role, with a background in electronics / manufacturing / production. You'll also need to hold a relevant electronic engineering qualification (or similar) ideally at HNC / HND / Degree level, as well as having experience of automated test equipment (ATE) and test process development.
