Test Development Engineer
Up to £40,000 DoE
Permanent, Full Time
Southampton, Hampshire

Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-tech electronic and optical fibre products, currently require a Senior Test Development Engineer to join their team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the development of specialist tests which will be used to measure optical fibre properties.

As a Test Development Engineer, you will be tasked with developing and introducing diagnostic techniques and tests in order to identify defects and continuous improvement opportunities, along with contributing to the design of new optical fibres. Other duties will include transferring successful tests to production, along with monitoring and controlling manufacturing tests, ensuring best procedures are in place.

In order to be considered for this position, you will need to be degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as physics, optoelectronics, laser materials or similar. You will also need to have proven experience in a similar optical fibre test development role.
