Technical Support Engineer - Renewable Energy

Up to £25,000 + Benefits

Grimsby

Our client, a designer & manufacturer of renewable energy systems & products, currently require a Technical Support Engineer to join their team. Based from their offices nearby to Grimsby, you'll be providing technical support to customers and also internally to the R&D team.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing remote technical support (via phone & email) to customers regarding their products and systems.
  • Providing support to the internal R&D team
  • Reporting any issues & fault customers are having to assist in the continuous improvement of product performance and reliability.
  • Following company policies & procedures, along with identifying & implementing improvements to them.
  • Other duties as required.

In order to be considered for this position, you will need to hold a relevant electronic / electrical engineering qualification (apprenticeship / HND / HNC / City & Guilds etc.), as well as having a knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations BS7671. You'll also need to have an understanding of renewable energy technologies such as Solar PV & Wind. Previous experience in a technical support / product support / customer support position would also be very advantageous.
