Job Description

Technical Sales Engineer (North of England)
Home based/Northern Office Based (preferably Manchester to Leeds region)
£50k 37 Hours Per Week

Technical Sales Engineer - Sales responsibilities:
Support the strategic objectives of the Sales division. Develop new contacts with, Facilities Management, OEM, Trade and End Users with targets, planning, energy solutions and standards

Accountable for developing sales in the Northern region

Successfully manage sales projects from lead until delivery on site

Ensure a pro-active customer approach is maintained at all times

Perform equipment demonstration to customers

Organise and attend exhibitions/marketing events

Identify potential opportunities for new equipment development, build business cases to support the initiatives, identifying and controlling risk and ensuring adequate returns for UK operations activity

Responsible for organising customer visits and managing own time

Maintain sales databases by inputting collected data and producing visit reports to management

Take lead/Offer support on specific ad-hoc projects such as tenders

Maintain a healthy pipeline for 6 months+

Selling high end complete solutions rather than individual products sales

High value projects £50k-£1MILLION

Organising diary for visits, appointments etc

On the road 3 days a week-high volume preference

Contract negotiation and costings

Our ideal Sales Engineer:

  • Graduate in Business or Engineering
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Full driver's license
  • Experience in sales, engineering, least 3 years working with chilled water systems.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of employees
  • Experienced in planning, developing and executing multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills, and keen to develop 'partner' relationship with customers
  • No restriction to travel in-country and abroad
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Confidence in presenting and explaining technical details to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Work ethic
  • Target driven
  • Commercial management experience
  • Technical knowledge of Designing Industrial Cooling System
  • Working knowledge of the Industrial Cooling Industry (3 to 5 years' experience)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to plan, develop and execute multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong communication skills, and partner with customers
  • Home based/Northern Office based Field Engineer
