Technical Manager - Firmware
c£55,000 plus pension, 25 days, 5% bonus etc
Crawley, West Sussex

We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Manager (Firmware), to manage a small team to ensure the success of the firmware strategy for an energy business.

As the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a small team of test analysts.
  • Meeting once per month with UK stake holding manufacturers.
  • Defining & managing the asset firmware strategy for metering devices.
  • Ensure design & delivery of in-home devices are technically fit for purpose.
  • Occasional travel to China to liaise with manufacturers.



To be considered for this position, you should have a firmware or electronics background. You should also have project leadership or management experience in electrical or telecoms sectors, ideally with firmware management. Experience with smart metering equipment would be very advantageous.

This is a permanent position based in the Crawley, West Sussex area; due to the location of the site plus monthly travel you will need a full UK driving licence. Working 5 days a week, Monday to Friday there is the option to work from home 1 day per week.

The package on offer for this position includes a basic salary in the range of c£55,000 plus company benefits such as 25 days holiday & company bonus up to 5%.
