Technical Assessor- Hazardous Waste

Location - Southampton

We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Assessor, to join a busy hazardous waste assessment department, assessing waste enquiries for chemical/hazardous waste substances. Our client is a leading organisation within the Waste Management sector, specialising in providing alternative solutions for hazardous & chemical waste, with the opportunity for a Technical Assessor to join their team in the Southampton area.

As a Technical Assessor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing waste enquires
  • Carrying out site administrative tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation for waste quotations
  • Liaising with other departments including the laboratories for sample analysis
  • Providing technical support & advice regarding chemical & hazardous waste
  • Managing sample receipts ensuring correct analysis
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a relevant Chemistry qualification (HNC minimum) and be familiar with various types of hazardous & chemical waste. Good communication skills are essential, and knowledge of the local industrial waste market would be advantageous.
