Our client, a leading designer & manufacturer of bespoke electro mechanical high technology products for use in the global defence industries require a Systems Analyst to initially undertake a project to implement a new ERP system before joining the IT Manager in supporting the manufacturing site.
Your varied duties will include being the formal technical / IT point of contact with EAS (Enterprise Application Software) vendors & the subject matter expert within the business. You will liaise with department managers to translate manufacturing requirements into design documents, identifying improvements & recommending best proactive solutions for the new ERP / EAS system. Longer term you will provide IT Support & suggest system enhancements for this electronics manufacturing site.
You will need a degree in a relevant discipline, plus a track record in a systems or business analysis role &/or solution design. You should also have PRINCE2/ LEAN Methodology experience, ideally holding a qualification or be a practitioner. You will also need to be comfortable working in the defence sector. Design / Manufacturing experience with ERP / MRP advantageous.
This role is located in a Southampton postcode near the M27, easily commutable from Fareham, Portsmouth, Winchester etc.
