Astute Technical Recruitment is looking to recruit a Supplier Development Engineer with experience working in production/manufacturing quality assurance to join our client, a FTSE 250 blue chip manufacturer of bespoke solutions serving the pharmaceutical sector.

Applicants will serve as a Supplier Development Engineer, which comprises aspects of supplier product quality assurance, resolving production issues, conducting supplier audits and ensuring process conformance.

We are looking to speak with Quality Engineers eager to progress in their career in a rewarding and fulfilling role; allowing you to make use of all the skills you will have gained in this sector.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct "RCA" - Root Cause Analysis - and audits with suppliers and eliminate non-conformances.
  • Improve and monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators. Establish quality targets.
  • Lead supplier improvement projects.
  • Evaluate and qualify new supplier materials following "NPI" (New Product Initiatives).
  • Manage "FAIR" (First Article Inspection Reports).

Applicant Summary

  • Applicants are required to possess Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified Lead Auditor status.
  • You will have experience in a similar role e.g. Quality Engineer, Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, Supplier Development and be looking to take your next step.
  • Experience will have been gained in carrying out RCA / QA via Production Problem Solving techniques; i.e. LEAN manufacturing, failure mode and effects analysis, manufacturing survey arrangements and similar.
