Stock Controller - Leeds - up to £24k

One of our Nationwide Waste Management clients has an urgent requirement for an experienced Technical Stock Controller to join the team at their Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility (RERF) in Leeds.

The RERF is an innovative design focussed on removing recyclable waste (through an automated mechanical pre-treatment process) from primarily municipal residual waste and recovering energy from the remaining element; enough to power in excess of 20,000 homes annually.

Previous experience within a similar role is required to be successful in this position as you will be required to develop and implement a stock management system within the plant. In addition, you will manage the booking out process within the stores to ensure that all items removed from the stockroom are registered on the stock management system. Therefore, SAP experience is highly desirable.

You will need to possess an understanding and knowledge of the working of the plant and requirements. Have the ability to work on your own initiative and communicate effectively with all members of the plant team, often on complex engineering subjects.

A number of years' experience of working in as a technical stock controller is essential for this role, as is competent negotiation skills. You will also need strong organisation and time management ability and be a team player.

Duties will include -

Keeping stock of all items required to keep the plant in operation, to obtain all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and office items, tools or equipment needed for personnel on the site to operate. Manage the stock control process to ensure that all items required are purchased at the best possible price. Obtaining non-stock items as required by the plant and making these part of the standard stock where required. You will also process new pieces of equipment to determine what parts are required to be added to stock.

Your customers will include internal personnel, Operations, Engineering, Administration and Management teams at the plant. You will ensure that all the required equipment and consumables are available for all personnel to carry out their daily work.
