Shift Operations Technician
Up to £35,000 DoE + Benefits
We're currently seeking a Shift Operator / Operations Technician / Plant Operator to work on a Biomass Power Station which is based in the Nottingham area. You will be responsible for carrying out operations & first line maintenance activities on the power & process plant on site.
As a Shift Operations Technician, your duties will include:
- Controlling & monitoring process plant operations using control systems, so experience of SCADA or DCS would be advantageous.
- Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on the mechanical plant such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyors etc.
- Performing mobile plant operations, such as on forklifts, when required.
- Ensuring adherence with health & safety requirements at all time.
- Other duties as required.
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar Operations Technician / Plant Operator / Process Operator position, ideally in a power generation / renewable energy / biomass / CHP / process plant environment. You will also need to hold an engineering qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / HNC / HND / City & Guilds etc.) along with having good first line mechanical fault finding & maintenance skills.
This is a shift-based role, where you will be working on a 12 hour 4 on & 4 off rotation (day & nights). They're offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience, plus the company benefits & overtime.
