Shift Mechanical Technician / Engine Technician

Package to £34,000pa plus van, 15% bonus plus benefits

Reading, Berkshire area

Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of renewable electrical power generation. They currently require a Shift Mechanical Technician / Engine engineer / Field Service Engineer to maintain landfill gas diesel engines & site plant that provide power to the local surrounding areas. As a Shift Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for carrying our reactive maintenance on reciprocating engines & associated plant to ensure optimum efficiency.

You will cover sites in the Reading / Slough / Thames Valley area up to about an hour away. The ideal candidate would be apprenticeship trained or will have relevant experience in maintaining mechanical plant / utilities perhaps being from a marine or ex armed services background.

A relevant qualification, preferably at ONC / HNC level would be an advantage with the ability to work a 24 hour shift pattern. The successful candidate would receive a competitive salary of up to £33,000 to £34,000 plus 15% bonus, van (fully expensed) & an excellent package including 25 days leave etc.
