Shift Maintenance Technician
Location- East London
Salary- c£38,000

We are currently recruiting a flexible, multi skilled Shift Maintenance Technician for a highly efficient Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) Plant in the East London area. You will perform daily planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of static plant equipment.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be maintaining large plant equipment including Generators, Container Cranes, Pumps, Compactors, Hoppers, Hydraulic and pneumatics.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Experience in Mechanical drive arrangements, including simplex, duplex, chain, belt, gearboxes and transmission equipment.
  • Be a served electrical/mechanical engineer.
  • A relevant City & Guilds / ONC or higher.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy and computer skills specifically CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system).
  • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in a heavy industrial or waste environment.

Your role will include:

  • Assisting in mechanical and electrical plant upgrades as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to ensure they are completed on time and efficiently.
  • Being involved in the implementation and control of the company's mechanical, electrical and general working safely policies.
  • This role will also consist of planned and preventative maintenance as part of a shift team on the sites plant.
  • Travelling and working between other sites as required.

Salary for this excellent opportunity is up to c£38,000.
