Senior Quantity Surveyor
Whitehaven
Up to £60,000

Introduction
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a large infrastructure project in Cumbria. This is a great opportunity to join an industry leading engineering consultancy on a signature piece of work with clear significance for the nuclear sector in the UK.


The Job
Reporting to the Management team, you will be responsible for providing expertise within a focused area of the project, to include supplying accurate and timely commercial reporting and advice to the wider management team and monitoring contract performance against financial targets.
Duties will include.

  • Managing subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually.
  • Providing support to the site team on contract requirements.
  • Monitoring subcontractors against programme.
  • Reviewing quotes and tenders.
  • Liaising with the customer, customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments
  • Managing Quantity Surveyors.


The Candidate
Already experienced as a quantity surveyor you will have a Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other commercially related discipline) and you will also either already hold or be working towards membership of the RICS or CIOB.
You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and you will understand period cost reporting and comparison with budget/forecast.
