Senior Quantity Surveyor

6 Month + Contract

Our Client is a provider of heavy industrial services covering a range of sectors including Renewable Energy and Oil & Gas.

Our Client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing the surveying process throughout the construction process. You will be joining an existing multi-functional team working alongside the onsite assembly team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Senior Management Team in analysis and control of project information
  • Working alongside the Technical Lead to agree project milestones
  • Ensuring the upkeep of all Dimensional Control Survey Equipment, including regular servicing and calibration
  • Producing cost effective dimensional control reports
  • Monitoring the work of subcontractors including review of costs and quality assurance checks
  • Liaison with the Client, Client Representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including the agreement of additional expenditure
  • Cost management for projects including delivering cost savings
  • Identification, preparation and negotiation of claims

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree Qualified in a relevant discipline such as Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineer or similar
  • Relevant experience gained in Quantity Surveying / Dimensional Control
  • FIDIC Yellow Book familiarity is essential for this role
  • A comprehensive level of commercial experience gained within Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas or large scale Civil Construction projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  • Steel fabrication project experience would be highly desirable for this role
  • Previous experience of using Total Station and Leica instruments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
