Our client is the UK's leading renewable energy solution provider in their green energy sector & they are currently seeking to employ a Senior Maintenance Technician (Lead Mechanical Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer or multi skilled) to lead a team carrying out hands on mechanical & electrical maintenance on a process plant.
As part of a small friendly team, you will maintain, service & repair motors, gearboxes, engines, pumps, water plant etc in a safe & efficient manner.
The ideal candidate will have previous man management & hands on experience in working on heavy plant, power generation plant, reciprocating engines, turbines, or other process plant such as power plant or water treatment plant. With a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification to HNC level or similar experience you will ideally possess a good knowledge of Planned & Preventive Maintenance. Experience gained on marine engineering systems (for example in the Royal Navy) may also be suitable.
The successful candidate will receive a salary in the range £35,000 up to £40,000 along with benefits including a company pension scheme & 25 days holidays (plus Bank Holidays).
Driving licence required due to rural location of site just outside Bedford. This role is commutable from Northampton, Kettering etc. This is a days based role with an element of call out (there is overtime & callout allowance).
