Job Title: Senior Hydrogeologist

Location: Southampton

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

Introduction

Due to continued expansion, our client one of the industry leaders in the recycling and production of IBA (Incinerator Bottom Ash), is looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist to join there expanding team in Southampton.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director as Senior Hydrogeologist you will be responsible for all environmental, groundwater and surface-based water assessments that are required for the supply of IBAA into construction projects across the UK.

As Senior Hydrogeologist your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;

  • Taking full responsibility for the management of environmental and hydrogeological assessments including the interpretations of relevant site investigation data, product data and the development of conceptual site models and controlled risk assessments.
  • Production of groundwater models relating to the groundwater flow and contaminant transport.
  • Preparation of site supply suitability assessments for a wide range of groundworks and construction projects.


The Ideal Candidate

As the Ideal candidate you will have a BSc within geology or another relevant subject with a 2:1 or higher. You will have a minimum 5 years relevant post graduate experience, have experience in preparing technical reports for qualitative and quantitative controlled water risk assessments. You will have excellent knowledge of common analytical modelling packages including ConSim and the Environment Agency/DEFRA guidance on risk assessment and environmental permits.
