Senior Grid Development Manager - Onshore Wind

Up to £70,000 plus Bonus, Car Allowance, etc.

Swindon based - Travel required

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Grid Development Manager with Onshore Wind experience, to join a leading organisation within the Renewable Energy sector. Based in Swindon with travel required across Northern Europe, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing business within the industry.

As the Senior Grid Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Advising Development team on the costs and impact of connecting projects to the Grid
  • Assessing grid requirements for new projects, making grid applications and managing the offers, agreements, transmission liabilities and biannual statements
  • Advising on overcoming grid related issues and identifying how to prevent / minimise issues.
  • Identifying new opportunities to connect new wind farms to the grid
  • Monitoring and interacting with DNO and TSOs investment and consenting programmes and be responsible for leading relationship building with all relevant DNOs and TSOs
  • Other duties as required.

In order to be considered for this position, you will need a proven background and understanding of both the UK and ROI grid networks, plus an understanding on how the grid networks around Europe work. You should have experience in making grid applications and the design behind this. This position is mostly based from both the UK and Ireland with regular travel needed between both and also Europe.

The package on offer for this role includes an attractive basic salary up to £70,000 (depending on experience), plus company benefits including bonus, car allowance, pension, life insurance and many more. A full UK driving licence is essential and you must have a valid UK/EU passport.
