Commodity Manager - Electronics
Our client, a leading designer & manufacturer of high-tech electronic products, currently require a Senior Commodity Manager to join their team, based at their manufacturing facility in the Southampton area. You'll be responsible for a strategic level role accountable for procurement of goods & services in a high technology sector.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement your duties will include:
- Procurement of goods/services with a purchasing spend of over £30m pa.
- Developing commodity strategies that align to operational objectives.
- Negotiate supply agreements with key suppliers, achieving cost reductions.
- Occasional international travel to suppliers & sister manufacturing sites.
- Mentoring other team members with development to management in due course.
We require a Procurement professional (CIPS preferred) with commercial experience in a strategic level Category Management (CMT) setting. You will need a degree level technical or business qualification (or equivalent work experience) & experience in high tech &/or a complex manufacturing environment.
Full, clean driving licence required.
