Introduction


We are currently looking for recruit a Safety Management System Advisor to work on Hinkley Point C. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the first new nuclear power station in the UK for a generation. Throughout the 10 year build phase 5,600 people are expected to work on the site during core construction.

The Job


Working as part of the Safety Management Team, you will be responsible for the day to day management and upkeep of the project health and safety management system, the project construction phase management plan and performance reporting system.


Establishing and maintaining a risk based health and safety communication programme, the Safety Management System Advisor will champion all H&S matters on the project, engaging with a wide range of audiences (work force, staff, unions, and other stakeholders)
Duties and responsibilities will include…

  • Managing & developing the HPC safety management system.
  • Regular analysis of project health and safety data, looking for issues and trends
  • Presenting in various forums across the project.
  • Engaging with stakeholders
  • Leading regular management system reviews.



The Candidate


Candidates will have a solid background in building and managing safety management systems for complex construction and engineering programmes.


Alongside this knowledge of CDM Regulations and the ability to compile H&S performance data is required.


Candidates will ideally be chartered IOSH members, hold a NEBOSH HSE Diploma and be a member of a recognised professional HSE organisation.
