Quality Manager

12 Month Contract

Bristol

Circa £400 Per Day, Limited Company Rate

ASAP Start

We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our Client on a construction project based in the Bristol area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Attending site meetings with subcontractors, advising and implementing quality requirements
  • Participating in site meetings as site quality representative
  • First point of contact for all site related quality issues
  • Reviewing subcontractor ITP's, input requirements and activities
  • Liaising with Client, Consultants and Notified Bodies for agreement of third party inspection requirements, activities and planning
  • Checking structural steel, boiler and pipework installations ensuring welding quality and material certification comply with specification requirements
  • Oversee BOP installations to ensure they are conducted in line with specifications
  • Maintaining and issuing NCR records. Reviewing, updating and actioning regularly, closing out completed NCR's as soon as possible
  • Review weld records and NDT reports, ensuring as-built drawings reflect actual installations
  • Witness testing activities
  • Reviewing Test Packs for pipework pressure tests
  • Create and manage punch lists and assist in progressing to completion
  • Managing and collating construction completion certificates on completion of works
  • Assist in transition from construction into commissioning phase

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working at a Senior Level in a Quality Manager role and will have the following:

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of working as a Quality Manager within Energy from Waste, Biomass or Gasification projects
  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of welding including NDT's and ITP's
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a Quality Manager at a senior level dealing with the quality side for large construction projects
  • Engineering or Quality Degree Qualified, or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, used to liaising with Clients. Subcontractors and External Bodies
