Quality Inspector - Metal Fabrication

Salary - c£22,000 + overtime

Location - Worcester

We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector with a strong manufacturing/metal fabrication/welding/sheet metal/automotive/rail or defence background. Our client is an expanding organisation in the automotive and defence sector creating bespoke interiors for prestige transport providers. They would like an enthusiastic Quality Inspector to join their team in the Worcester area.

Duties as Quality Inspector include:

  • Being able to read engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
  • Accurately recording documentation of inspections
  • Inspecting various sheet metal I.e. paintwork, assembly & welded inspections
  • Final, shop floor and goods inwards inspections
  • Using mechanical inspection equipment e.g. Faro Arm
  • Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will need to be flexible for overtime, have a background in sheet metal/welding engineering, be familiar with CMM checking devices and live around 10 miles from the site. You will be computer literate and possess good written and verbal communication abilities.

This is a temp to perm position for a Quality Inspector with 3 or more years' experience in a similar industry, the hourly rate offered is between £10-11 per hour depending on experience plus overtime and company benefits. CMM experience would be advantageous.
