  • Support the implementation of PSSR regulation's requirements within Contract Documentation and support NNB's suppliers
  • Maintain / develop knowledge and expertise in PSSR regulation, Pressure Equipment Directive standards and practices by maintaining contact with your Peer Group within EDF Group and maintain knowledge of national and international standards and codes
  • Contribute to or produce weekly and monthly reports for assigned areas of responsibility in the NNB format used within the Manufacturing Installation and Testing (MIT) team
  • Definition of the Resources need for the User (NNB)
  • Development of the strategy for PSSR/Competent Person incorporation in relation with Pre-Service Inspection (PSI),
  • Establishment of a strategy for the Written Scheme of Examination
  • Analyse and categorise the EPR Systems according to the PSSR
  • Establish which parts of the pressure system are pressure vessels, protective devices, or pipework as defined in the Regulations

The Candidate

It is expected that the successful candidate will bring their own experience to fully develop the PSSR strategy, working closely with, reporting to and acting under the responsibility of the Engineering Manager. He/she is expected to make decisions related to the scope of the responsibilities assigned by the Engineering Manager. There will be regular interaction required with the Responsible Designer organisation and the UK regulator. The post holder may also be required to support other parts of the project from time to time in relation to the surveillance of contracts covering equipment, systems and services.
