Project Manager / Project Director

You will contribute to the delivery of increased turnover within public and private sector markets in the South. A key aspect of the role will be to contribute to the growth and development of the water's edge and infrastructure resilience business across the UK and Europe.

  • Project Manage and direct the delivery of a range of civil engineering and environmental projects
  • Perform a senior consultant role to generate sales and develop business
  • Demonstrate leadership in a contractual, commercial and management context

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Competent to Project Manage at PM Tier Level A-C (£1.5m - £5m)
  • Excel in project management, project direction, and technical review across the Water UK portfolio with an expected fee earning utilisation of 70%
  • Provide leadership across commercial, contractual and management activities
  • Bring expertise and market knowledge to generate new sales in both the public and private sectors with a focus within the South region
  • Contribute to regional business development including "Hunting in Packs" with other Business Line senior staff (such as Industry and Buildings and Transport and Planning) with a particular emphasis on major projects, private sector business, contractors and frameworks
  • Perform a leading role in the development of tenders
  • Support the growth and development of the team
  • Promote the team internally and externally
  • Be flexible to travel around a number of UK and international locations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive relevant experience
  • Chartered Engineer via MICE or CIWEM with significant post-qualification experience
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent level qualification
  • Awareness of civil engineering industry procedures and best practice
  • Excellent commercial understanding and technical track record
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
