Project Manager

12 month +

Rate is £425 to £450 a day.

Start Date - May

Based out of the Edinburgh site so would ideally need to be within commuting distance or move up for duration of projects.

Must have: Cable systems, HV (132kv-400kv), substation, Planning, Contracts and Commercial experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the overall operational and commercial aspects, delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality

  • Defining project scope, goals, timelines, risks and contingency plans

  • Project planning, monitoring and control

  • Supporting the site teams to meet project goals and plan

  • Managing day to day operational duties

  • Developing and delivering progress reports, analysing results and troubleshooting problem areas

  • Monitoring project progress and reporting on site progress to project team and the Client

  • Dealing with High level HV work for cable systems

  • Ensuring safe and effective daily operations

Essential Requirements:

  • Ideally Degree Qualified

  • Project Management Qualification

  • Previous experience in the Project Management of renewable energy projects i.e. Wind or Power

  • High Level HV experience (132kv-400kv)

  • Electrical experience

  • High commercial awareness with focus on cost management

  • Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills

  • Substation experience (onshore/offshore - Wind/Power/Biomass)

  • Proven knowledge of project development through to commissioning phase
