Project Engineer - Healthcare and Scientific

3 Month Contract

High Wycombe

Our Client is a leading provider of waste and energy management services.

An opportunity is available to join our Client on a contract basis as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing innovative and practical design solutions to technical problems
  • Identifying potential areas of cost saving and ways of increasing revenue whilst maintaining technical standards
  • Managing the work of Project Engineers and Supervisors for specific contracts and providing any guidance and support as necessary
  • Supporting the sales and proposals teams to impart technical knowledge and project management experience into bids
  • Attending technical meetings, reviewing technical drawings
  • Ensuring good practices are maintained and lessons learnt are applied to future projects
  • Completion of Design Hazard Risk Assessments to ensure health and safety practices are adhered to
  • Undertaking all reasonable duties as requested by key project personnel

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

  • HND/HNC qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • You will have a sound engineering knowledge and the experience to understand the customer requirements and the environment in which the solution will be required to operate
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical disciplines
  • Demonstrable experience of project management and managing budgets is required
  • You will have previous experience of managing multiple projects and working to tight deadlines
  • Experience of working within the water treatment industry or have an understanding of water treatment processes
