Plant Operator (Shift)
In range up to £24,000pa including shift, plus 25 days holiday, pension etc
Our client currently requires a Plant Operator / Shift Operative / Operations Technician with an agricultural, waste management, services or technical background to execute operations & basic maintenance activities of a 24/7 production plant, working days & nights in a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
As the Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operation of production plant as part of a small team under direction of a Production Manager. You will use a forklift & conduct basic routine maintenance & manual plant operations in a health & safety conscious manner.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work a shift pattern including both days & nights, in a manufacturing / food related environment as part of a small team of operatives. You should have relevant experience in working as a plant operator / utilities & have a technical or engineering qualification, perhaps being from a marine engineering background or ex-army or Royal Navy background. It would also be very advantageous to hold a forklift licence or be able to train to gain one.
Salary in the range up to £24,000 including shift allowance plus benefits & including 25 days plus bank holidays. 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift pattern, working days & nights in a rota. Full details to be discussed at interview stage.
You must hold a full, clean driving licence & be able to easily commute to site.
