Principal Civil Engineer
Peterborough
£55,000 - £65,000 per annum

We are currently looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join an industry leading company with a global presence. You will be required to work on several water infrastructure projects in and around the Peterborough area.


You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include….

  • Working closely alongside discipline heads
  • Practice excellence health and safety in design
  • Ensure that risks are identified and managed
  • Set clear standards and expectations - provide feedback to individuals about performance
  • instigate both formal and informal development programmes to enable all engineers to contribute to their full potential
  • Allocate appropriate project design resources to the delivery teams
  • Ensure that all technical work is undertaken to the correct standards and specifications
  • Continuously strive to improve ways of working and promote innovation
  • Identify opportunities that may facilitate cost savings, carbon reductions
  • Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure that the need to deliver technical excellence is understood and implemented


The ideal candidate;

  • Understand the principles of water and sewage treatment.
  • Have experience of controlling members of staff in designing Civil aspects of water and sewage treatment plants
  • Civil Engineering degree (preferably chartered)
