PLC Programmer
Cardiff based with travel to all sites nationwide
Competitive Rates
3 Months+ contract
Immediate start

Our Client is a multi-national Engineering company, who specialise across several heavy engineering sectors. They're looking for a PCS7 Programmer to work in Cardiff and various other sites in the UK. The successful candidate will be working closing with the Commissioning team on a daily basis, and must be highly experienced with the interfacing/Programming of the PCS7 Systems.
Essential Requirements:
  • An experienced PCS7 Programmer with previous experience working on the Siemens PCS7 systems within Anaerobic Digestion, CHP and Energy projects across the UK.
  • Experience of interfacing with Client/Principal Contractor
  • Great planning, organising and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to take direction from Project Manager/Commissioning Manager
  • Flexibility to travel across several UK sites

Job Description & Key Responsibilities
· Work on programming new plants in line with project specification according to P&IDs and I/O maps;
· Setting up communications;
· Creating PC based HMIs;
· Testing installation;
· Ongoing maintenance of existing operational projects:
· General maintenance;
· Fault finding;
· Identifying process improvements;
· Other duties as required.
