Plant Operator - 24/7 Process Plant

£24,000 - £27,000 plus benefits

York, North Yorkshire

We are currently seeking to recruit a Plant Operator / Technician / Operations Technician, to carry out a number of operations & maintenance activities on a 24/7 Process Plant. Our client is a leading organisation within the Renewable Energy sector, with the opportunity for a Maintenance Technician / Operator to join their team based in the Yorkshire area.

As part of a small team, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out reactive & planned maintenance on the plant
  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks as instructed
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Monitoring & operating the plant to optimise efficiency
  • Ensuring health & safety is adhered to at all times
  • Feeding fuel (renewable)
  • Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in working as a Technician on large/heavy plant and ideally within a heavy process environment (waste, anaerobic digestion, CHP). You should have relevant qualifications (operations or maintenance focused, ideally electrical & mechanical) and those with operations experience on SCADA control systems are desirable. You will need to have a degree of flexibility as overtime, call outs are required.

The package on offer includes a starting salary in the range of £24,000 - £27,000 (depending on experience) plus company benefits.
