Our client currently require a Plant Operator / Plant Operative / Operations Technician with a trade, horticultural or engineering background to help execute operations & basic maintenance activities of a 24/7 process plant providing renewable power to the local surrounding area. They are one of the UK's leading proponents of renewable electrical power generation in their sector.
As part of a small team, the Plant Operator will be responsible for performance of plant under direction of an Area Manager, feeding fuel (renewable), conducting routine maintenance & supervising maintenance by 3rd party personnel.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working as a plant operator of large engines / plant / utilities, or bring a related background from trade or horticultural sectors, perhaps being from an electrical / marine engineering background or ex army or Royal Navy background. IT literacy is important & a good general level of qualifications or apprenticeship would be very advantageous.
You ideally should also hold a full, clean driving licence & be able to respond to out of hours emergencies with support from management. Located near Thetford, Norfolk & commutable from Downham Market, Ely, Swaffham etc.
The successful candidate would receive a competitive salary of up to c£28,000 plus 25 days holiday, Pension, Healthcare, Death in Service etc.
