Plant Manager - Renewable Energy
Aberteifi, Wales

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Renewable Energy / Waste / Process Plant Manager, to oversee and manage the daily operations of an advanced process plant based near the West coast of Wales. Our client is an industry leader within its field, with the opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager to join their team.

As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all operational activities on site
  • Leading the technical maintenance of the site to optimise process equipment performance, uptime, biogas production and energy generation.
  • Managing variety of feedstock materials to maintain and optimise feedstock mix to drive maximum biogas yield
  • Dealing with all personnel issues in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Managing the commercial element of the business, ensuring all activities are closely analysed, recorded and reported, clearly justifying any decision made.
  • Analysing and reporting on feedstock characteristics and digester health. Determining optimum feeding regime
  • P&L responsibility
  • Ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to at all times
  • Ensuring efficient operations of the plant to meet KPIs
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this position, you must have proven experience working in the waste processing / generation industry in a Management focused position. You will ideally hold a Chemical/Process Engineering degree or equivalent experience, WAMITAB training is desirable and you should have a good knowledge of feedstocks and be able to analyse lab results.

The package on offer for this position includes an attractive basic salary is c£40,000 (dependant on experience), plus pension, holidays. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
