Optical Engineer

A high-tech Electronic Product Manufacturer in Rugby, require an Engineer or Physicist to join a small team who engineer fibre optics component solutions for use in next generation high tech electronic fibre laser products.
Your background will ideally be in a technology development environment for lasers, or fibre optics or a related optics area (high power lasers, beam delivery optics, free space optics etc) & have worked in industry, for example, perhaps as part of a multi-disciplined project or design team. You should also have a degree to PhD level qualification in physics, optoelectronics, laser materials, electronics or engineering or closely related discipline.
The role has arisen due to a busy order book, with our client bringing a number of new cutting-edge products to market. You will be responsible for practical product development, including fibre optic component design, development & application.
The role is based in Rugby, Warwickshire. Remuneration is likely to be in the region of c£40,000 to £45,000 plus a good benefits package.
