Operations Manager - Sewage Networks

Hampshire, Sussex and Kent

Up to £55,000 per annum pending references

Astute Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting an Operations Manager to work for a leading Water and Utilities Contractor on the South Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the customer journey team and the O&M field resource team(jetting & CCTV) spread across the Southern Water operating are. You will be responsible for delivering excellent service to Southern Water's customers, whilst ensuring the highest health and safety standards are maintained, the O&M operational resources are efficient and effective in delivery and responsible for reporting on the performance of all of the services are required to perform, with a particular focus on the 'back office' functions, systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will have previous experienced working in a customer focussed management role and will have also have experience of Sewage Network Operations, you will have previous experienced of high volume R&M work, managing operational resources and experience of leading a scheduling, dispatch or call centre function. The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving health and safety procedures across the business.

The successful candidates duties will include -

  • Drive excellent customer service with O&M resource & customer journey team
  • Have a detailed understanding of customer performance
  • Deliver an improved CSAT score for the R&M sewerage contract
  • Deliver continuous improvement in Southern Water's SIM score
  • Ensure customers are being communicated with & managed appropriately
  • Deal with and resolve high level complaints / escalations
  • Ensure O&M work is efficiently and effectively scheduled
  • Ensure all O&M field activities are undertaken to the highest safety standards
  • Establish a strong health and safety culture within the O&M resource
  • Ensure productivity is maximised for all O&M activities
  • Ensure O&M jobs are completed to the required priority levels
  • Ensure O&M works comply with quality procedures and contract specifications and relevant best practice
