Our client, a leading company working within the renewable energy sector, are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join their power station's management team. You'll be responsible for managing the Operations team, ensuring the site runs smoothly & safely.
As the Operations Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring the power plant site operates to stringent operational, output, safety & environmental standards. You will be part of the management team deputising for the overall manager/directors when required & having directly reporting technicians & contractors.
To be considered for this position you will preferably have a recognised apprenticeship / ONC or HNC in Process Operations or an Engineering discipline plus experience using SCADA or DCS Systems. A background in Operations with supervisory or management experience within a relevant industry (power generation, waste to energy, heavy process) is ideal. However, candidates from Pharmaceutical, Cement, Food Manufacturing or other Process Manufacturing will also be considered as will those with an ex-forces background (perhaps Marine Engineering).
This position is a day-based position working Monday to Friday with an element of on call duties from a site in Milton Keynes, commutable from Northampton, Bedford, Luton etc.
They're offering a competitive salary of c£50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience, as well as benefits including a company pension & other competitive benefits.
