National Stock Controller - Energy from Waste

£45,000 + car allowance + bonus


Introduction...

We are currently recruiting a National Stock Controller to work across a growing fleet of energy from waste power stations across the country ranging from Devon to the central belt of Scotland. Based at the nearest EfW station you will be responsible for effective stores management, maintaining efficient stock levels and undertaking stock checks of the technical stores across all EFW plants.


What will I be doing?

Typical duties of the National Stock Controller will include:

  • The management of all site Stock Controllers / Storekeepers
  • Overseeing the stock management of all EFW plants
  • Maintain and manage stock databases
  • Liaise with the central engineering teams and site management for outage stock procurement and management
  • Develop a stock strategy across all EFW sites
  • Guiding and training site staff in stores and purchasing procedures


This role will involve some travel across the fleet of EFW power stations and, on occasions, overnight stays.


What experience does the role require?

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity it's important you meet certain criteria including:

  • 5+ years of experience in stores / stock management, preferable in an engineering/ heavy process environment. Armed forces stock controller / stores accountants would also be considered (Chief / senior level)
  • A strong understanding of purchasing principles and practices
  • An understanding of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) would be beneficial
  • A flexible approach to working patterns and routines
  • A full UK driving licence is required as travel to sites across the country will be involved
