Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

£30-36k DoE (incl. shift allowance)

Permanent, Full Time


Our client, a leading company within their sector who have a process plant based near Ipswich, currently require a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their team. The role holder will be tasked with carrying out a range of electrical and mechanical engineering works on the plant.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the process plant, responding to breakdowns, as well as assisting in installation and plant modification activities. You will be working on an array of equipment so experience of PLC controls, electrical systems, steam plant and associated equipment, as well as water treatment plant would be beneficial.

In order to be considered for this position you will need to have proven experience in a similar position, along with relevant electrical and / or mechanical qualifications. The ideal candidate with have a background in plant maintenance within a manufacturing environment, such as food, beverage or pharmaceutical.

This is a 24/7 operation and you will initially be working on a 2 shift / 5 day a week shift pattern, before moving on to a 3 shift / 7 day a week pattern upon successful completion of your training.
