Materials Recycling Facility Manager - Waste Management / MRF

Up to £40,000 plus benefits


We are currently seeking to recruit an Operations Manager / MRF Manager, to lead and develop a busy waste management site based in the Leeds area (Materials Recovery, Mechanical Treatment, Recycling, etc.). Our client is a leading organisation within the waste management sector, with the opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager / MRF Manager to join their team.

As a MRF Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Performance of the MRF / Pre-treatment plant through optimisation of the mechanical functions and continuous improvement
  • Managing & developing performance of site (operations, cleaning process, etc.)
  • Management of KPIs and reporting
  • Ensuring business is sufficiently resourced i.e. premises, equipment, staff, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance and health & safety is followed at all times
  • Identifying opportunities for business improvements
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this role, you should have at least 3 years' supervisory/management experience working within the Waste Management sector (Materials Recovery, MRF, etc.) and proven ability to lead & manage staff. You should have a working knowledge of current Health & Safety & Environmental legislation and be able to work well under pressure.

The package on offer for this position includes a salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience), plus company benefits. This is a permanent position working within the Waste Management sector.
