Our client, a leading company working within the waste management and renewable energy sector, currently require a Mechanical Technician / Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician to join their team, based at their process plant in the Crawley area.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a heavy process plant and equipment. This will involve working on the mechanical plant such as conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, generators and compressors. You'll also be involved in supervising the mechanical fitters on shift, ensuring health & safety and scheduling their maintenance activities.

In order to be considered for this position, you will need experience in a similar Mechanical Technician role and hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification, along with a background in the renewables / waste management / power generation / process sectors. Proven experience working with heavy process plant (pumps, conveyors, motors etc.) is also required.

This is a permanent position and you will be on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, working days & nights.
