Mechanical Maintenance Technician
£40,000 - £45,000
We are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical-bias Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Multi-skilled Technician, to work on a range of equipment within the waste management / renewable energy / power generating plant based in the Milton Keynes area. Our client is a leading company within the industry, with the opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team.
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Planned and preventative maintenance across the site
- Responding to breakdowns
- Mechanical maintenance on heavy process plant (conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
- Ensuring that the plant runs at optimum capacity with minimal downtime
- Continental shifts (12hrs - 2days, 2nights, 4 off, etc.)
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you should ideally be a Time-served Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias) with some Electrical knowledge (17th edition ideally). You should also have relevant experience maintaining large/heavy process equipment (conveyor systems, pumps, etc.), and be flexible towards working as part of a shift rota working days and nights. Those with a Marine Engineering/Forces background will also be considered.
The package on offer for this position includes an attractive salary in the range of £40,000 - £45,000, plus good company benefits. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
