Our client is a leading designer & manufacturer of bespoke metallic fabrications for use in a wide range of industries including the busy power generation sector.
They sell their products globally & house their Manufacturing Engineering team near Middlesbrough.
They need to recruit a new Manufacturing Engineer to join the Batch Production Manufacturing team, an ideal opportunity for someone to contribute towards the development of current manufacturing process to increase capacity, quality & reduce costs whilst supporting NPI at a time when they're gearing up to bring key new products into batch production.
This is a key role with responsibility for day to day support to production, understanding requirements from drawings, liaison with supply chain, helping to keep costs within budget, improving shop floor layout, contributing to lean/ continuous improvement, ensuring that timescales are met & that manufacturability is maximised.
What you'll need for this position! Two to five years plus experience of manufacturing engineering support, including taking a lead role in projects ideally in a metal fabrications / or machining or related environment & the ability to demonstrate delivery of lean manufacturing or six sigma. You should also ideally have a degree level of engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
This role is located near Middlesbrough & is commutable from Stockton-on-Tees, Darlington, Hartlepool etc.
Salary from £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including 8% pension.
