Manufacturing Engineer (High Tech)
Southampton, Hampshire
c£35,000 to £40,000
We are currently recruiting a (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial) Manufacturing Engineer to join a busy & expanding company operating in the electronics & defence sectors.
Responsibilities... Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the planning, coordination & improvement of the manufacturing process to ensure that current & new product designs are optimised for cost & efficient manufacturability.
Skills and Experience... To be considered for this position you will need to have a mechanical, Manufacturing or Industry qualification, preferably to degree or equivalent experience, combined with understanding of Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMA) principles. You will need to ae able to demonstrate manufacturing engineering experience developing plant layout, tooling, fixtures & manufacturing processes. Knowledge of QMS systems very advantageous.
There is a salary of up to c£35,000 to £40,000 plus 25 days holiday, pension & other benefits with this opportunity to join a busy, successful the waste management & renewable energy sector.
This role is commutable from Fareham, Portsmouth, Winchester etc, & current driving licence preferred.
