Introduction


Our client, one of the leading Waste Management and Resource specialists within the UK & Europe, are seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join the established team in their Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF).

The Role


As Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maximising the plant output by ensuring day to day planned and reactive maintenance is carried out in a timely manner on the on the MRF, IVC & HWRC facilities.

Main duties will include:

  • Completing maintenance on all plant and equipment on site by following planned maintenance schedules to ensure the reduction of plant downtime.
  • Reacting to breakdown of equipment on site in a timely and efficient manner to improve equipment availability and overall performance.
  • Assisting with the training and monitoring of contractors and new staff on site.
  • Adhering to company H&S policies at all time and promoting best practice.
  • Operating in a safe and efficient manner and maintaining compliance of statutory inspections to be in line with company policies and procedures.


Candidate Requirements


To be considered for this position you will need to have a recognised Level 3 NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant Engineering field and a background in Mechanical & Electrical maintenance. You will have familiarity of working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Maintenance experience from within a relevant industry (power generation, energy from waste, waste management, heavy process) is a must.
