Maintenance Engineer - Thermal Hydrolysis

Up to £40,000 plus benefits

Kings Lynn, Norfolk

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Process Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, to carry out a range of operational & maintenance activities on state-of-the-art Thermal Hydrolysis equipment and associated Anaerobic Digestion plant across the Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Norfolk and South Yorkshire areas. Our client is a leading organisation within the Renewable Energy industry with the opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in a field-based position.

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Installation, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance on thermal hydrolysis equipment, steam boilers, air compressors, pumps, piping systems, solids conveying systems
  • Troubleshooting, fault finding & rectification
  • Plant trials, performance analysis, SOPs, technical specifications
  • Ensuring maximum efficiency of economisers and AD plant (boilers, hot oil exchangers, etc.)
  • Health & safety (IOSH/NEBOSH)
  • Plant operational & maintenance activities
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a relevant Engineering Degree (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) and ideally have experience working with a similar technology (Thermal Hydrolysis, THP). You should have experience working within a heavy process environment (chemical, steel, food, oil & gas, etc.) and also have a good mechanical understanding of process equipment.

The package on offer for this opportunity includes an attractive salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) plus company benefits including pension, holidays, expenses, etc.

This is a permanent position and you will be required to travel across the Nottinghamshire, Norfolk, South Yorkshire & Lincolnshire areas, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential, as well as the flexibility to stay away overnights.
